All Purpose

An easily managed general purpose peat-sand growing medium. Suitable for all year round propagating and raising salad, vegetable, bedding and pot plants in pots, trays and packs.
Peat: 0-5mm 15%, 0-10mm 80%
Sand: 5%.

Alpine & Herb

An easily managed peat-bark growing medium suitable for a wide range of alpine and herbaceous perennials. Not suitable for ericaceous plants.
Peat: 0-10mm 40%, 3-15mm 45%
Bark: 3-12mm 15%

Poinsettia

A peat-perlite growing medium for good early root establishment to help resist Pythium attack and to encourage good calcium uptake for quality bracts.

Potting

For raising bedding and pot plants in pots, trays, hanging baskets and tubs. Contains darker peat for enhanced nutrient content and moisture retention.

Silvaperl

Hydroleca

A lightweight clay aggregate formed by special clay minerals expanded at a high temperature producing ceramic "pebbles" with a smooth outer crust and a honeycomb interior. These pebbles are sterile, non-toxic, inert, resistant to algae, extremely strong and can absorb up to 40% of their own weight in water. They are not damaged by frost and have good insulating properties.

Perlite Seed Special

Useful for improving the aeration of composts to be used in smaller containers and where improved aeration is required in larger containers without reducing water holding capacity. The characteristics of temperature stability, improved wetting and water transport are retained. Use at up to 25% by volume.
Particle size: 1.0-3.0 mm

Perlite Standard

Useful for increasing aeration in larger containers and producing a well-drained environment for root growth. Use at up to 40% by volume.
Particle size: 1.0-5.0 mm.

Perlite Super Coarse

Particularly useful for increasing aeration in larger containers and producing a well-drained environment for root growth. Use at up to 20% by volume.
Particle size: 1.0-5.0 mm.

Vermiculite Fine

Useful for aiding the water management of peat composts as it retains water more strongly than peat and so extends watering intervals and provides a nucleus for re-wetting. The nutrient buffering complements this water buffering action.
Use at up to 50% by volume.
Granule size: 1.0-3.0mm.

Vermiculite Medium

Useful for improving aeration without impacting adversely on water capacity or water retention. It can also be used for seed covering.
Granule size: 2.0-5.0mm.
Use at up to 50% by volume.

Vermiculite Coarse

Useful when higher aeration levels are required without impacting adversely on water capacity or water retention.
Granule size: 5.0-10.0mm.
Use at up to 50% by volume.
