Use of the Clydeside Trading Society Limited website, www.ctsgardensupplies.co.uk, indicates your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. No part of these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.


All goods are sold in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Although there may be multiple users per account, you will only see the details and orders associated with your email address. However, the primary contact on the account will be able to see all orders placed by all users for that account. Any order you place will go to your own email address. All users will have a shared credit limit for the account, which may affect what you can order at a given time.


After your account has been set up on the website and you try to login with your email address, you will be sent an automated email response asking that you create a new password. Once you create a new password you will be able to access your account.



Our standard pricing is available to the general public, which offers up to 10% discount on volume orders of selected brands such a composts & fertilisers. If a product has a discount structure this will be shown on the product page next to the price.


We also offer trade level discounts, above and beyond our standard discount structure with 30 days payment terms. If you are interested in a trade account then please use this form and we'll get back to you with our trade terms & conditions and application form.


A further benefit to our trade customers is that they can log in via this website to place orders directly and receive a small fixed rate delivery charge* (see SHIPPING and HANDLING below).



Making a purchase on our website is easy and straightforward. Please browse the site and add any items you wish to buy into your shopping basket. After you have finished shopping, just click on 'Checkout' and a pop up will appear asking you to sign in, create an account, checkout as guest or request a trade account. Unless you have a trade account with us then please select the 'Checkout as Guest' and enter an email address or 'Create an account' to open an online account (this online account has the same prices as Guest checkout). You will then be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.

If you get asked to enter a 'Reference' then this refers to whether the address you're entering is home, work or other. This is for your own use and you can just put in NA (for Not Applicable) if you wish or any other note. This should only appear if you've previously put in a delivery address. This isn't used by us for your delivery. 

You can go to the 'Basket' page and click the 'Calculate' next to the Delivery to work out the delivery cost to your postcode. This cost is based on order total weight and delivery location.

We reserve the right to accept or decline any order placed on the www.ctsgardensupplies.co.uk website. After submitting an order, we will send you an order acknowledgement email with your order number and details of the goods you have ordered. Please note this email is an automated acknowledgement and is not an acceptance of your order. Order acceptance is confirmed when we send a full VAT invoice to the invoice / delivery address. This invoice is sent separately by post at the time of despatch. This term is included in case a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product. E&OE.



Our intention is to keep our delivery costs to an absolute minimum.


Our standard delivery service is 1-3 working days for courier packages and 2-7 working days for courier pallets covering Mainland UK and the Scottish Highlands. Please note we do not ship outwith the mainland such as the Islands and / or Northern Ireland.


We will also not act as an indirect exporter, we won't ship to a UK address for forwarding onto addresses outwith the UK for VAT purposes.


Shipping price depends on order weight and delivery location. Orders via courier pallets are charged per pallet total weight.


We provide a pallet delivery service using our own transport covering a zone roughly bounded by the A85 in Scotland and A66 in England. Both courier package and pallets services outwith this region will be charged at our standard courier rates. Please see the Delivery Details page for more information.


Alternatively goods can be uplifted from our store in Kirkmuirhill, free of charge. Please select "Click & Collect" at checkout. For your reference our store is open 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.



Where possible, we always endeavour to ship your orders the same day they are received as long as this is before 12pm lunchtime. We do not deliver at weekends.


You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.



All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and are marked to show whether the price displayed is either VAT inclusive or VAT exclusive. The VAT Rate charged for UK orders is 20% VAT.


We accept payment by credit and debit card and accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Visa Debit. We also allow payment via BACS. For trade-only customers payments can be made on Account.



We use Opayo (formerly SagePay), the industry leading online payment provider, for secure online card processing. All credit and debit card payments are made through our secure Opayo payment gateway, which is fully compliant with the latest PCI DSS regulations. Once you place your order you'll be taken to the secure Opayo payment gateway to enter your card details. Upon payment completion you'll be returned directly to the completed order stage on our website.


From 14th March many banks will be requiring customers to perform an additional security check to prove it's them making the payment. This can be done through their bank mobile app if you have it installed. If not they can send you a code to your mobile phone to verify it's you. Please make sure your bank has your correct mobile phone number to ensure a smooth transaction.

We use Lets Encrypt SSL, one of the leading SSL providers to secure your personal data.



Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.


You are entitled to cancel your order for whatever reason and return the goods within 14 days for a full refund, including the cost of the original delivery. Please notify us by email within 14 days of receiving your goods and quote the order number supplied to you. As the buyer you are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. Any goods returned must be in saleable condition. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed. Your refund will be paid within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods.


We cannot accept returns on products that have the seal broken such as composts, fertilisers, pesticides, insecticides, seeds, any liquids or perishable goods due to the risk of contamination or leaks during transit.


No goods may be returned without prior written consent. Goods returned must be in a suitable condition for resale, clearly identified, adequately packed and delivered to the company's premises, carriage paid.



Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitle you to return damaged goods within 30 days of you receiving them.


All orders are pre-checked before dispatch. However, in the event of goods arriving damaged, any shipping damage must be reported as soon as realistically possible. In this event, we will confirm the damage and if a claim is found valid, will arrange for return of the goods from you at no charge. A full replacement will be offered, or a full refund in the event that the goods are no longer in stock.


At the point of delivery, all goods become the responsibility of you the customer. From this point, you the customer will be responsible for the safekeeping and correct use of all goods, Clydeside Trading Society Ltd will not be responsible for any damage or fault arising from incorrect storage or use. The validity and conditions of any refund/return will be affected by any damage considered to be caused through misuse or neglect.



Our products are of the highest quality and we endeavour to provide the best service we can. We provide a 12 month warranty on gardening tools and equipment only where we have a manufacturers guarantee. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service or any product purchased from Clydeside Trading Society Ltd please let us know immediately and we will do all we can to rectify and resolve any issues you may have.

All products sold via this website remain the sole property of Clydeside Trading Society Ltd until they have been paid for. This covers account customers and BACS orders.
