Description

Treating soil with naturally occurring Remin volcanic rock dust can help boost fertility, leading to healthier vegetables, fruit and flowers and improved yield. Adding Remin to lawns and grassed areas can improve their growth and appearance. It also encourages earthworms and other natural 'engineers' that can further improve soil quality. Additionally, the chemical reactions and biological processes triggered by using this volcanic rockdust significantly boost soil's natural carbon capture capability. Scientific research shows that for every tonne added, 70 to 230kg CO2 can be removed from the atmosphere over time.

How to use: This 10kg bag will cover up to 20 square metres. Do not apply in windy conditions or to frozen soil Regular treatments are likely to bring better results.

Application to soil and compost

Top Dressing: Minimum dose is 0.5kg Remin/m2 with up to 2kg/m2 as booster dose. Apply as a top dressing and rake in lightly. Can be applied at any time of the year.

Mixing: Mix well through compost / soil at 1kg Remin per 50 litres

Plant pots, tubs, baskets: For a 15cm2 (6 inch) pot or equivalent, sprinkle level tablespoon onto surface of compost or soil and water in as usual. Apply twice a year.

Application to lawns and grassed areas: It is recommended to mow before application. Apply according to top dressing rates above. It is helpful to follow this by watering if soil is dry.

Home composting: For every new layer of compost, add enough Remin to make a light covering over the surface that you can easily see through.

Worms and wormeries: Eartworms and compost worms love Remin as the tiny particles help them digest organic matter and supply them with fresh minerals. In wormeries, sprinkle a handful per 30cm2 onto the surface every month. Try a small area with this amount and where there's enough moisture you will see the worms congregate.
