Doff multi-purpose lawn seed is great for establishing new lawns or renovating existing areas. The quality seed mixture will give a superb, hard wearing lawn. It is an ideal mixture for over seeding in Spring & Autumn.
Preparation of a new lawn area - covers 3.5sqm
If the soil is dry, water thoroughly and leave to soak in overnight. Cultivate the ground to between 15-20cm, remove any weeds and clear the area of any debris and any loose stones. Rake the surface level and use a roller or boards to create a firm surface.
Overseeding an existing lawn - covers 10sqm
Remove any weeds and stones. Mow the lawn closely before raking or scarifying to remove moss and any weed remains.
Sowing - sow seeds evenly over the surface, rake or drag seed into the surface of the soil.
Sowing season - January to October
Best times to sow are spring to late summer, early autumn. If you are seeding at other times, be prepared to touch up thin or bare spots as needed.
Watering - Keep soil moist with frequent, light watering until grass is established.
After establishment keep well watered in dry conditions and use a range of good quality fertilisers including liquid feeds, soluble and slow release fertilisers.
